Bourgeois Guitars wishes to congratulate Scott Fore and David Youngman on their first-place wins in the prestigious national guitar competitions at this year’s Walnut Valley Festival! Respected far and wide, the Walnut Valley contests are considered by many to be the ultimate prize in competitive guitar performance.
2015 National Flat Pick Champion Scott Fore is no stranger to Winfield, as this is his second first-place win and the fourth time he has placed at the competition. Scott chose to perform with a Bourgeois Fully Torrefied Aged Tone Dreadnought for his 2015 win. Scott said “I own many guitars, but I chose to compete on this Fully Torrefied Aged Tone Dreadnought because it sounds like a pre-war guitar, and it also has the modern playability I look for.” Scott is also the national sales manager for Bourgeois Guitars.
This was fingerstylist David Youngman’s first win and second time on the podium at the International Finger Style Guitar Championship at Walnut Valley. David chose a Bourgeois OMC Brazilian Soloist as his prize from the 3 top-shelf guitars presented. David had this to say about his new guitar: “The Soloist I chose as my prize at Winfield is very inspiring. It has the sound and response that I crave, and I look forward to performing with it!”
Bourgeois Guitars congratulates both Scott and David on this tremendous achievement, and we look forward to hearing more great music from them in the future!
